WHO WE ARE
Development of Higher Education is a primary condition for the socio-economic development and societal transformation. It builds the critical human capital necessary for research, innovation, growth and development across all sectors of economy. Inclusive access to higher education can thus transform our strong demographic advantage into a peaceful, modern and prosperous society. To fully benefit from the prevailing demographic reality, we need to educate our people in the shortest possible time. However, supply of qualified faculty vis-`a-vis demand is the single largest challenge in accomplishing the task without compromising the quality of education. A practical solution to the problem is the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools to deliver education while maintaining high and internationally compatible standards of education.
National Virtual Institution is a unit of National Council for Skill development and Professional Education Mission registered with NITI AAYOG Govt.Of India and is the pioneer virtual university to leverage the use of ICT in imparting the best possible education to its students all over the country including the remote areas as well as across the world. With its extremely flexible mode, Virtual NVUP enables the students to manage their studies at their convenience and offers every opportunity to discover hidden talents.

Our graduates are gainfully employed by prominent industrial and business concerns and many have established their own enterprises and are providing employment to others. A large number of NVUP graduates are continuing their studies at other universities both within and outside our country.
You must be aware that NVUP is the pioneer in Information and Communications Technology based education. It employs a unique pedagogy involving video content delivered through multiple modes including the World Wide Web and DVDs. Comprehensive student-teacher interaction and support is provided over the Internet and supplemented using mobile devices. NVUP has developed world-class courses for you and in order to fully benefit from them, you should become completely familiar with the NVUP Learning Management System (LMS). You will be provided a detailed orientation in order to help you get started with your studies at NVUP.
The National Virtual NVUP maintains high academic standards and you will have to work regularly and consistently to get a degree from NVUP, but let we assure you, NVUP degree is well worth the effort.
Objectives
The main objective is to create opportunities, space and scope for the development of the talents of the youth and to develop more of those sectors which have already been put under skill development for the last so many years and also to identify new sectors for skill development. The new programme aims at providing training and skill development to youth of our country by covering each and every village.
The emphasis is to skill the youths in such a way so that they get employment and also improve entrepreneurship.
Provides training, support and guidance for all occupations that were of traditional type like carpenters, cobblers, welders, blacksmiths, masons, nurses, tailors, weavers real estate, construction, transportation, textile, gem industry, jewellery designing, banking, tourism and various other sectors, where skill development is inadequate or nil.
The training programmes would be on the lines of international level so that the youths of our country can not only meet the domestic demands but also of International Demands.
Tailor-made, need-based Programmes would be initiated for specific age groups which can be like language and communication skills, life and positive thinking Skills, personality development skills, management skills, behavioral skills, including job and employability skills.
The course methodology is on the lines of ‘Skill India’ which would be innovative, practical experiences, case studies etc.
